Margaret Heckler has been removed from her cabinet position as Secretary of Healt', and Human Services.
The President was Master of Ceremonies at her leave-taking, to which, according to the press, she agreed after fighting back tears.
The President said that it was malicious gossip that he was getting rid of her because she was incompetent or insufficiently conservative.
In other words, he had no fault with her philosophy relative to health and human services, and he thought she was competent.
