She is also survived by four brothers, Homer Jenkins of Etlan, Harry K. and Jack Jenkins, both of Madison, and Billy Jenkins of Covington, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 25 at the Preddy Funeral Home chapel in Orange with interment following at Graham Cemetery.
Rev. Barney Austin and John Jarman officiated.
Judith Avery
Judith M. Avery of Winchester died Saturday, March 22, 1986, at the Welcome Haven Nursing Home, Winchester.
Mrs. Avery was bom July 14, 1896, in Washington, Va., daughter of the late Harry Jackson and Frances West Miller. She was married to the late Preston S. Avery and was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church where she worked in the Treasure Box for a number of years. Prior to her retirement, she lived in Atlanta, Ga., and was a member of St. Phillip’s Cathedral.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Harold G. Brown of Winchester, Mary Speake of College Park, Md., and Gladys Caldwell of Pensacola, Fla.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, at Christ Episcopal Church in Winchester with the Rev. David H. Knight and the Rev. John Miller officiating. Burial was in West View Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga.
Pallbearers were Harold G. Brown, Jr., David Miller, Jr., James J. Douglas, William Rice Matthews, Jr., Miller Speake and Thomas Miller Buckley.
Jones Funeral Home in Winchester was in charge of the arrangements.
