Each child who wishes to attend is asked to decorate a Easter egg at home and bring it to the hunt. There will be a judging contest. Children in the area are invited and are asked to bring their own basket for hunting.
Amissville Methodist
A Maundy Thursday service wall be held at Amissville United Methodist Church on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. Good Friday services will begin at 7:30 and an Easter egg hunt will be held at the church on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Sunrise Sendees at Chester Gap
Easter sunrise services will be held at Chester Gap Baptist Church on March 30 at 6 a.m. Breakfast will be served after the service. Other services for that day include Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m. and evening service at 6:30.
Trinity Episcopal
A service of Holy Eucharist and Agape will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Maundy Thursday at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday there will be a prayer service beginning at noon. In the evening at 7:30 a joint meeting with the Washington Baptist Church will be held at the Baptist Church, focusing on the “Stations of the Cross.”
A sunrise Eucharist will be held Sunday at 5:45 a.m. at the home of Col. and Mrs. N. A. Parson on Jenkins Mountain. Holy Eucharist will also be held at 8 and 11 a.m. with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.
For the youngsters an Easter egg hunt will be held following the morning service. Everyone is welcome.
