The fourth and last of the current Community Concert series featuring the Bonn Wind Quintet will be presented Tuesday, April 1, in the auditorium of Culpeper County High School at 8 p.m.
The Bonn Wind Quintet, established in 1974, is comprised of Andreas Bossier (flute), Klaus Reiet (oboe), Michael Nehalfen (clarinet), Gustav Kedves (horn), and Wolfgang Sorge (bassoon). Steve Masi, a gradute of the Juilliard School of Music, has been the permanent guest pianist with the quintet since 1980....

The Rappahannock County Garden Club met Wednesday, March 19, at the home of Mrs. John Hooff. Hostesses were Mrs. Hooff, Mrs. Robert Brents and Mrs. T. J. Pillar. Mrs. George H. Sharp, president, presided.
Arrangements on the theme “Nature Awakens” were miniatures, not exceeding 5 inches in all directions, exhibited at eye level. No accessories were permitted. Mrs. Zillah Dietel, National Accredited Judge and a club member, judged the entries.
Ribbons were awarded to Class I: blue, Mrs. Albert Doub; red, Mrs. Andrew Pennington, and yellow, Mrs. John Kreamer.
Class II ribbons: blue, Mrs. Lloyd Sims; red, Mrs. Maurice Herndon, and yellow, Mrs. John Hooff.
Class III ribbons: blue, Mrs. George Muth; red, Mrs. William Fannon, Jr.; yellow, Mrs. Henry C. Sutherland, and white, Mrs. Joseph Nordone.
