The Troop Committee and
Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 64, Washington, met Wednesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. in the Washington Baptist Church. The scouters reviewed the past year’s work and outlined plans for 1962. Present for the meeting were District Secretary Robert Mead; Judge R. V. Snead, Scoutmaster; Ollie Fincham, Troop Committee, and Rev. Warren Milbur, Institutional Representative.
Marine Pfc. Freddie M. Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Jenkins of Sperryville, is serving with the Second Battalion of the Eighth Marine Regiment, an infantry unit of the Second Marine Division from Camp Lejeune, N. C., which is currently participating in training exercises at Viequest, Puerto Rico.
The Castleton Junior Community Club was recently organized with an enrollment of 10 members. Ann Cannon was elected as president of the group. The organization plans to meet every other week and will publish their own paper which is tentatively named the Castleton News.
