After many years of charging only 15 cents a week for overdue books the Rappahannock County Library will inaugurate a new policy effective May 1, 1986. The fine for overdue books, cassettes, and magazines will be five cents a day, still a bargain.
Timely new books at the Library are Malfred Femdock’s Morel Cookbook, a collection of essays and recipes, a gift from Eugene McCarthy, and The Mushroom Trail Guide given by Fannie Boyls.
Other new books include Judith Viorst’s Necessary Losses subtitled “the loves, illusions, dependencies and impossible expectations that all of us have to give up in order to grow”; When All You’ve Ever Wanted Isn’t Enough by Rabbi Harold Kushner; Food for Fitness after Fifty, “a menu for good health in the later years” by Dr. Frederick Stare; Carolly Erickson’s Our Tempestuous Day, a history of Regency England; Robert Coles’ The Moral Life of Children, and Harold Leinbaugh’s The Men of Company K, the autobiography of a World War II rifle company.

Steve, Mollie and Amber Welch announce the birth of their son and brother, Nathan Lloyd, bom April 20,1986. He weighed nine pounds.
