The 4-H Share-the-Fun Contest,
sponsored by the 4-H County Council, will be held Friday evening, May 11, at 7:30 at Washington Elementary School. Share-the-Fun provides a good opportunity for boys and girls to develop their talents and share them with other people of their community.
Candidates for Queen of the Castleton Fire Company carnival met Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cannon to launch their campaign. Dates set for the annual carnival are July 11,12, 13 and 14. Candidates for queen are Dottie Estes, Bettie Miller, Peggy Cooke, Pat Burke, Frances Weakley, Helen Dodson, Nancy Stringfellow. Paula Keys, Charlotte Jenkins and Ann Rutherford.
