Cut fish into serving size portions (approximately 6). Put in greased baking dish. Combine soup, onion, salt, and pepper. Spread over fish. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes or until fish falls apart easily.
Mackerel loaf
1 can mackerel (1(J oz.) 1 egg' 1/3 c. cracker crumbs 2 T. lemon juice 1 T. tarragon 1/2 c. chopped onion dash of salt pepper to taste 1 can cream of celery soup
Combine all ingredients, except cream of celery soup. Shape into loaf and place in greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Cover with cream of celery soup and return to oven for 15 minutes.
This recipe may also be made into cakes and fried or baked.

A dinner was given at the residence of Clarence and Daisy Walters in Washington over the weekend to celebrate Mr. Walters’ 56th birthday.
The guests were Gail, Jamie and Jeff Henry, Virginia Clatterbuck. Lester and Goldie Williams, Frankie, Jennifer, Donald, Berry, Debbie and Mathew Clatterbuck, all from Front Royal, Kim Williams of Chester Gap, Molly and Rachael, Betty Lou, Jeff, Dougie and Charlotte, all from Strasburg Road, Michael Brown from Washington, June, Frankie, Tim and Adam Campbell, all from Flint Hill.
The party was given by his wife Daisy, and children, Diane, Angela, Todd, Mary Lou, and Junior and his grandchildren Mikey and Kelly.
