Little Washington. He previously worked as a reporter and photographer for two weekly newspapers, The Citizen-Standard in Valley View, Pa., and at The Centre-Democrat in Bellefonte, Pa.
A Towson, Md., native, he studied English at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
“I wanted to become more involved with the community, to get to know the area and the people better,” Mr. Hatter said. “I felt this job gave me the perfect opportunity to do that... I also missed writing and was interested in getting back into journalism.”
He added: “There are several large issues in the county that need to be addressed, as well as many small things . . . The community newspaper is the perfect vehicle to make people aware of those issues.”
In addition to his management . duties, Mr. Hatter will cover police, courts, sports and features.
