Mrs. Doris Coughlin of our area attended the Rappahannock Woman’s Club fashion show last Sunday afternoon at the elementary school.

Mr. and Mrs. David Bates and friends of Arlington were at Range View here during the weekend.

Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a guest Saturday of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family. In the evening Mrs. Frazier, Michele and Christopher accompanied by Mrs. Eunice Meade visited Mrs. Margaret Cole in Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Nicholson of Rt. 615 had as dinner guests on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Nick Meredith and sons, Eric and Joshua, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Meredith and Jessica, all of Leon.

We express our sympathy to the family of Oscar R. Coughlin, who died Saturday at Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

Mrs. Harry Morrison of Winchester was an overnight guest Sunday of her mother Mrs. Cary Thornhill. Mrs. Thornhill was a luncheon guest Sunday of Mrs. George Butler and in the afternoon they visited Mrs. Lottie Johnston.

Mrs. Freddie Butler spent several days last week at Virginia Beach where she attended the Postmasters’ Convention. She was accompanied there by Mrs. Buddy Thornhill and Mrs. William Gibbs.

Mr. and Mrs. W. * Michael Murphy of Mine Run are the proud parents of a daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth, born March 26 in Mary Washington Hospital at Fredericksburg.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. McWhirt of Amissville and Mr. and Mrs. William Murphy of Fredericksburg.
