Health Forum at CMH
Organ donation will be the subject of a free community health forum at Culpeper Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. Representatives from the transplant program at Georgetown University Medical Center will discuss many aspects of organ donation in order to help families know what to expect if this situation arises concerning a family member. Candlelight concert dates
The Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society will present its Christmas Candlelight Concert Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St. Music director Lois Shanks has selected sacred, classical and contemporary Advent and Christmas music to be performed by the 58-voice chorus. The concerts are free and open to the public. All day meeting at Chester Gap
An all day meeting will be held Sunday, Nov. 22, at Chester Gap Baptist Church. The services begin at 10 a.m. with Sunday School, followed by the worship service at 11 a.m. Pam and McKinney King will lead this service. A fellowship dinner will be served at 12:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. the Truth Singers from Warrenton will be guests. Everyone is invited to attend.
Preaching mission at Trinity
“Here I am, Lord,” a preaching mission, will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington Nov. 15, 16 and 17. The Missioners are the Rev. John J. Desaulniers from Little Fork Church, Culpeper, Maureen Betterton of St. Mark’s Church, Alexandria, and the Rev. B. Clifton Reardon from Church of the Epiphany, Herndon.
Services will begin at 7 each night with dinner at 6:15 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday. Nursery care will be provided. “Come, share in the grace and warmth of God’s love,” said Rev. Jennings Hobson, pastor of Trinity Episcopal. Call 675-3716 for more information.
Musical at Macedonia
The First Spring Gospel Chorus will be in concert at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. The program will benefit Ways and Means and is sponsored by Rachel Aylor. “Please come out and make this evening a success,” she asked.
