Sign-up for the 1988 Chesapeake ’ Bay Program will be held through Jan. 15, 1988, ip the Rappahannock County ASCS office. For more details, please contact the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District Office at 825-8591.
After sign-up, site investigations will be made to determine which practices are eligible. Practices that are approved will be cost-shared by the District with technical assistance from the Soil Conservation Service and Virginia Department of Forestry personnel.
The Chesapeake Bay program is designed to improve water quality in state streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Cost-share incentive programs are available to encourage farmers and landowners to apply needed Best Management Practices
