A new Bus Safety Committee, headed by Pam Cox, was formed with the purpose of educating parents, teachers, and children about the importance of good bus behavior.
Librarian Aney Massie extended her thanks to the PTA for the support she received during the RCES book fair. Money, books and bonus points to buy books in the future were earned by the library as a result of the fair.
The Great Toy Exchange will be held in the gym on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Children can sell their own toys, the PTA will have a toy table and there will be an orphan box for unwanted toys. This is a great time for siblings to buy inexpensive Christmas gifts for their brothers and sisters. Parents might also help children clean out old toys before Christmas.
The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. A short business meeting will be followed by a program.
