Mr. Clark grew up in Rappahannock County, where members of his family still live. He received his BA degree in political science from Bridgewater College, and attended graduate school at the University of Virginia and at James Madison University. He lives with his wife Nancy Sheffield near Waynesboro in Augusta County.
