Portions of Skyline Drive will again be closed to vehicles for cer' tain night hours during the upcoming hunting season. Shenandoah National Park Acting Superintendent Gerald W. Tays is taking this action due to illegal hunting pressure which occurs along the Drive during hunting seasons. Superintendent Tays noted that several arrests were made earlier this year, some for felony hunting-related charges.

From Nov. 8,1987, through Jan; 2, 1968, the Skyline Drive between Front Royal (Mile 0) and Thornton Gap (Mile 31) and between Swift Run Gap (Mile 65) and Rockfish Gap (Mile 105) will be closed daily between dusk and 8 a.m. The section of the./Drive betWeen Thornton Gap :r. u br.'v - i-t ion
