Charles Pullen
Charles Edward Pullen, 72, of Washington, died Nov. 3 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Romie Branson and Minnie Atkins Pullen.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rosie Bailey Pullen, three sons, Johnny Ray Pullen, Sperryville, Edward J. Pullen and .Charles Edward Pullen Jr., both of Washington, five daughters, Esther Martin of Lexington, Ky., Marjorie Atkins of Orange, Sue Pullen of Culpeper, Vanessa Henry of Chiley, Fla., and Ellen Pullen of Washington, two stepdaughters, Hope Campbell of Luray and Frances Griffith of Culpeper, three brothers, Russell Pullen of Washington, Clyde Pullen of Sperryville and Romie Kyle Pullen of Glen Bumie, Md., three sisters, Alice Beahm, Dorothy Ralls and Peggy Huff, all of Washington, his stepmother Claudia Mae Pullen of Washington, 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Another daughter Dorothy Poehler predeceased him.
A funeral service was conducted Nov. 7 at Gid Brown Bible Church near Washington by the Rev. John Burke. Interment was at Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ricky Pullen, Edward L. Pullen, John Marshall Clark, Silas Beahm, David Pullen, Clyde M. Pullen, Thomas Taylor and Roy Pullen.
