“The bus communication system is already in use,” Superintendent Dr. David Gangel reported at November’s PTA meeting. Radios have been installed in three buses and two cars. One of the three buses recently had a malfunction and was able to get help safely and quickly by usmg its newly installed radio, Dr. Gangel said.
Dr. Gangel explained the Community Shared Repeater Communication System and accepted a check for $1,996, the proceeds from the PTA’s fund drive, with appreciation. Through the help of the schools and of the PTA it is hoped that all buses can be equipped with radios in the near future, he added.
On Friday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. the PTA will sponsor a movie, That Dam Cat,to be shown in the gym. Parents willing to help with refreshments should contact Linda Mallory at 937-5039.
