Gwendolyn Ann Jordan is working toward her State Degree of Achievement Award in the Future Homemakers of America/Home Economics Related Occupations (FHA /HERO) Chapter at Piedmont Technical Education Center in Culpeper. Miss Jordan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Jordan of Amissville.
This award, bestowed by the state of Virginia, is given to members who demonstrate growth and ability to participate in an outstanding way in a variety of activities which contribute to better family living and make the individual more employable.
Miss Jordan’s in-depth project is centered on “Planning and Preparing Chocolate Recipes.” Mrs. Letitia K. Franklin, Miss Jordan’s advisor and food service instructor, said that she is very proud of Miss Jordan and the fine job she is doing on her project.
