The Sperryville Business Council announced that it will hold a Christmas celebration, “A Blue Ridge Christmas,” on Nov. 27,28 and 29. Shops throughout the quaint Rappahannock County village, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, will be decorated and provide special offerings for holiday shoppers.
Cheri Woodard, spokesman for the business council, said that the group organized the celebration “as an enjoyable and low-key alternative to the wild crush and crunch of the traditional post-Thanksgiving shopping sprees” which have come to be a fixture of the first weekend after Thanksgiving.
