□ F & M National Corp. hasannounced an agreement to merge with the Blakeley Bank and Trust Co. of Ranson, West Virginia. The plan must still be approved by regulatory authorities and ^Blakeley's stockholders. The merger, according to the ^announcement, should be completed by fall of this year.
□ There will be a Memorial Day observance at the St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery in Woodville. The service will begin at noon, with Rev. Jennings Hobson III officiating. In case of rain, the service will be moved indoors to Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. The public is cordially invited to attend this nondenominational service honoring all those who have lost loved ones, particularly those lost in the service of their country.
