The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control generated more than $10.4 million in profits for the Commonwealth and its localities during the second quarter of fiscal 1987-88, a department spokesman has announced. . ABC Board Chairman J. David v/'Shobe Jr. said that “the profits rej

Rappahannock County received $7,622 as its share of the ABC profits, while the Town of Washington got another $322. The per liter wine tax netted the county another $2,155, and the town an additional $91.
According to a formula devised by the Virginia General Assembly, two-thirds of the profits from the agency during each fiscal quarter, after statutory adjustments, are distributed to localities, while the remaining one-third is allocated to the Commonwealth’s General Fund.
