Emma Rosengarten
Emma Paula Rosengarten, 94, of Flint Hill, died May 16 at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home in Winchester.
Mrs. Rosengarten was bom March 28, 1894, in Gorlitz, Germany, a daughter of the late Herman and Luise VonSteinmentz Durring. Her husband Isidore Rosengarten predeceased her.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James R. Foster of Flint Hill and Mrs. Kay Fraser of Toronto, Canada, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted May 23 at the Flint Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Merlin Shorb.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, Flint Hill 22627.
Lester Payne
Lester Floyd Payne, 79, of Front Royal, died May 23 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Payne was bom June 8, 1908, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Charles W. and Texanna Dwyer Payne. He was a member of the Front Royal Church of the Brethren and the Loyal Order of Moose, Front Royal Lodge 829.
