Harold Lester Payne of Woodstock, three daughters, Carolyn Mitchell of Front Royal, Helen Hope of Petersburg, W.Va., and Haley Ann Drummonds of Winchester, a brother Harry Payne of Culpeper, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

His funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. May 26 at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Woody Johnson. Burial will be in the Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Archie Bailey Jr., Jimmy Kendall, Lawrence Payne, Larry Welch, Albert Payne and Carl Payne.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garland Jones, Lyle Beatty, Robert Mauck, Quinton Baker, Julian Duncan, John Norton, Donald Vaughn and Robert North.

Virgie Pullen

' Virgie Mary Pullen, 89, of Sperrjrville, died May 24 at the Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mollie Bruce Alther.

She was a member of Gid Brown Bible Church near Sperryville.

Her husband Joseph Pullen predeceased her. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Lee Pullen of
