NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF RAPPAHANNOCK ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE’S APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO OFFER AN INCENTIVE AS PART OF ITS LOAD MANAGEMENT PROGRAM CASE NO. PUE880040 On April 4, 1988, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative ("The Cooperative") filed an application with the State Corporation Commission requesting approval to expand its existing load management program by offering to perform repairs and to replace fuses, thermostats, and elements in water heaters owned by Cooperative members who participate in the Cooperative's load management program as an incentive to encourage participation in that program. Generally, the purpose of a load management program is to allow the Cooperative to reduce its wholesale power costs from its power supplier by placing control switches on water heaters.
