Two elderly Rappahannock County residents are presently “desperately in need” of transportation assistance, according to Retired Senior Volunteer Program Coordinator Jeannie McNear.
The two patients, both of whom require dialysis treatments at Warrenton Dialysis Center three times a week, need transportation to and from the center for treatments. “It’s a life or death situation,” Mrs. McNear said.
One patient lives on Rt. 681 in Jenkins Hollow, and is scheduled for treatments on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in Warrenton. She must be at the center at 7:30 a.m., and is ready to come home by 11:30 a.m.
The other patient lives on Rt. 707 near Slate Mills, and receives
