Deirdre Coombs, RCHS junior,
has been selected by the Virginia Wildlife Federation to attend a summer youth camp at the Dismal Swamp, June 25 to 27. The camps are sponsored by the Virginia Federation to promote an awareness of nature and appreciation of surroundings in Virginia youngsters. Deirdre is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Coombs of Flint Hill.
Those wishing to make a donation to the Sursum Corda building fund for the new child care and learning center may do so while enjoying Jordan River Farm strawberries, according to Miriam Harris. Harris said that anyone wanting ten percent of their strawberry purchase at Jordan River Farm in Huntly to go for the fund may simply so so at the time of purchase.
