As a child, Mr. Lassiter continued, everyone has that natural sensitivity to their own feelings. But, by age six or seven, the intellect begins telling us, “It’s just your imagination, It’s just a dream,” and that sensitivity becomes clouded.
The intellect, he said, “is like the front wheels steering the car which is your feelings.” The key is to get the intellect to relenquish control, to go directly to the feelings which produce those hunches, that intuition which sometimes surfaces.
