The Amissville firemen’s carnival is scheduled for June 29-July 2. The carnival begins Wednesday evening with a special family ride night, $5 to ride all you want. The parade begins at 7 p.m. Thursday. Entries will be accepted up to parade time. Call Sheila or Sharon Scott at 937-4357 to arrange for participation. Everyone is welcome to enter.
Drawings for the grand prizes of $1000 and a 20 inch TV will be held around midnight Saturday. Although entries are now closed for honorary fire chief and Miss Princess, the Fire Department hopes next year to offer a contest for prince if enough interest is show n.
