Congressman D. French Slaughter Jr. (R., 7th-Va.) criticized a legislative ploy which last week brought a major bill addressing home health care to the floor of the House of Representatives before the bill went through the normal process.
The bill, Rep. Slaughter said, “was brought to the floor for a vote without undergoing the normal legislative scrutiny that is usually applied to bills that come before the House.”
