For the past two years, the Shenandoah Valley Playwrights Retreat, the Dept, of Theatre Arts at Virginia Tech and The Virginia Commission for the Arts have been working together to address the environment for playwriting in Virginia by creating a forum for theatre artists. Members of the Virginia Theatre community are invited to Virginia Theaterworks to create a network for people who are interested in nurturing the work of new playwrights.
Registration at the conference is available Friday afternoon and evening, July 15 and all day on Saturday, July 16 for those interested in attending. For the second year, the
