in 26th season
• The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival will present its 26th season of outdoor concerts of symphonic, chamber, summer band and big band music. The Festival’s home base is op the grounds of historic Orkney Springs Hotel in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia. This National Historic Landmark was built in the early 1800s and its completed renovation stands today as a tribute to grand resort hotels of that era.
Under the direction of William Hudson, the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra will return for its tenth year at the Festival. Joining the F.S.O.
Jenkins
reunion held
The sixth annual reunion of the families of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen Baker Jenkins was held on Sunday, July 10 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington with approximately 85 attending.
“Even though it was hot, everyone had a wonderful time reminiscing,” said reunion organizer Linda J. Dwyer. Plans are already underway for next year she added.
