Dorothy McCoy
Dorothy Botts McCoy, of Culpeper, owner of Dorothy McCoy Realty and widower of Dr. J. Bradford McCoy, died July 1 at her residence.
She was the daughter of Clinton (Clyde) A. Botts and Cynthia (Bertie) Cooper Botts of Stafford Store and the granddaughter of Confederate Army Captain J. Raleigh Cooper and Mary Mason Cooper of Warrenton and Stafford Store.
Mrs. McCoy was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church, Baptist Missionary Society, Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Culpeper Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include two nephews, Maurice C. Botts and William L. Botts Jr., both of Stafford; six great nieces and nephews; and six great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held July 5 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in the Fairview Cemetery. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Lucy Sadler
Lucy Margaret Major Sadler of New York, died June 29. She was bom July 19, 1929 in Sperryville, the daughter of the late George and Susie Major.
