Mrs. Sadler was educated in Sperryville and attended Hopewell Baptist Church. Later Lucy moved to New York where she met and married Howard Wesley Sadler. At that time she worked as a telephone operator. In 1960 she studied nursing at Kings County Hospital and later obtained a job in that facility, where she was employed for 28 years. She is survived by three sons, Robert, Wesley and Tyyrance; 1 daughter-in-law; 33 grandchildren; 1 niece and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. She also cared for 32 foster children. A funeral service was held July 6 at Gilmore’s Funeral Home in St. Albans, New York, with interment in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York. The Final Tribute
