Jennifer and Jan Lynn Dodson have been named as Scholastic AllAmericans, the National Secondary Education Council has announced. The sisters, who attend Rappahannock County High School, were nominated for the award by Coach Gary Leake.
According to a council spokesman, the award was established to recognize superior students who excel in academic disciplines. To qualify for the award, students must achieve at least a 3.3 grade-point average and be nominated by a teacher, counselor or administrator. Students honored will also be listed in the Scholastic All-American Scholar Directory, an annual publication.
