The Child Care and Learning Center was notified by the Virginia Department of Social Services that it has been chosen as a recipient of the Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Act for 1988-89. This certification, which took effect July 1, is awarded by the state to only a few not-for-profit institutions in Virginia. The celebration allows contributors to CCLC to benefit from a 50 percent Virginia Tax Credit on their gifts to the center.
