The Northern Virginia 4-H Center recently received safety kits for its summer camping program donated by Warren Memorial Hospital.
The kits, about the size of medium-sized boxes, are filled by thy emergency department staff at Warren Memorial Hospital and include such medical items as Band-Aids, Ace bandages, splints, dressings, eye patches and neosporin ointment. “WTe are pleased to help the Northern Virginia 4-H Center in any way we can. It is our way of saying thanks to the Center for everything they have done for our community,” says C. Douglas Rosen, Administrator of Warren Memorial Hospital.
The kits serve three purposes at the 4-H Center. One is used in the swimming pool area, a second is used in the safety junior camping program for ages 9-12 and the third is used in outpost education, including such programs as camping and aquatics. Outpost education reaches out to those who have let the facility. but wish to participate in the programs offered at the 4-H center.
