Marshall Coleman during a brief visit in Fairfax County on Sunday. , Wilder and Donald S. Beyer .Jr., the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, were present for a .joint campaign kick-off with the Democratic candidates for the state House of Delegates. • ■ "I like to think that the people have already seen the difference between the tickets," Wilder told an enthusiastic crowd of more than 200 supporters. ' Referring -to the Republican party as the party of the past. Wilder said, "The people don't want to go back to the '70s in 19S0." , Wilder criticized Coleman for two recent no-shows. Coleman did not attend a scheduled appearance before the Trucking Association in Wintergreen on Tuesday and the Virginia Road Builders Association at the Homestead in Hot Springs, where Wilder was also scheduled to speak.
