The anesthesia department of Culpeper Memorial Hospital recently received a major piece of equipment in anticipation of the completion of the new surgical suite.
Central Virginia Physicians Service, a physician practice management firm, delivered the stateof-the-art anesthesia machine to Dr. Michael Russell, chief of anesthesia atCMH.
“We are pleased to provide this vital equipment to the anesthesia department,” said Dr. John Larson, executive director of CVPS, upon delivery of the Narkomed 2B. “A primary purpose of CVPS is to support the patient care needs of the departments whose physicians are associated with our organization.”
Destined for use in the future surgical suite, the $30,000 anesthesia machine will be used immediately in the current operating room.
“It is great to have this advanced technology at CMH. This machine is the same quality found in open-heart surgical units,” said Dr. Russell, as he accepted the machine on behalf of the department. “We are very proud to add the Narkomed 2B to our department.”
