After December’s blast of cold air — ranked nationally as the fourth coldest on record — chilled the country through and through, a wanning spell was welcomed by nearly everyone.
It’s lasted nearly six weeks and has many people, as well as some unsuspecting shrubs and spring foliage, preparing for spring.
