Workers in the Culpeper area suffering from a physical or mental impairment which prevents them from working should consider applying for Social Security disability benefits when it appears the impairment will last 12 months or longer, said Bruce A. Hundley, Social Security manager in Culpeper.
Social Security disability benefits can be paid to workers under 65, disabled widows and widowers 50-60, and to unmarried adult children who become disabled before reaching 22, Mr. Hundley explained.
