Recreation fees in three camp- i grounds and one swimming area in f the George Washington National f Forest will increase this spring, i according to Forest Supervisor t Wayne Kelley. j

The fees are going up for camping at Brandywine, Sherando Lake, i and Bolar Mountain near Lake Moomaw. A parking fee will be charged at Sherando Lake, and the fee to use Rockcliff Beach at Trout Pond is being increased.

“Fees for using national forest recreation facilities are adjusted yearly so they remain comparable to fees charged by the private sector in similar settings,” Supt. Kelley said.

Actual fee increases that will be in effect this spring are:

• Brandywine campground in West Virginia from $6 to $7.

• Sherando Lake recreation area will have a $2 parking fee, and camping will increase from $8 to $10.

• Bolar Mountain campground
