Bloodmobile
in W'nton The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Warrenton United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 1, between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. with a goal of collecting 70 units. Although blood collections by the Fauquier Chapter of the Red Cross are at 94 percent of the goal at this point in the fiscal year, the demand for blood continues to increase. According to figures furnished by Mary Beth Waldeck at Fauquier Hospital, the hospital transfused approximately 1,620 units in 1989. During that period the Fauquier Chapter collected 1,358 units from donors in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. The shortfall was made up by the Washington Region, of which the Fauquier Chapter is a part.
