INVITATION TO BID
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors hereby invites all interested contractors to submit bids to provide all labor and materials for completion of a 1,764 s.f. addition to the Rappahannock County Jail. The addition contains two stories (each of approximately 616 gross square feet) and a basement. The project is located within the Historic District of the Town of Washington, Virainia, with frontage along Gay Street and Mt. Salem Avenue. The addition is to be built in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by LAWRENCE & LAWRENCE, P C. dated February 9, 1990, or such later addenda as the Architect may issue.
No plumbing or HVAC drawings are provided and the Contractor is to submit Sub-contractor design and concept proposals to Architect for Review and Approval. The addition shall be equipped with sprinklers for the basement and kitchen (Second Floor) levels. Sprinklers may be connected to the existing sprinkler system serving the existing jail.
All work shall conform with the 1987 Uniform Statewide Building Code, as amended, and tne 1978 edition of the Commonwealth of Virginia's Guide for Minimum Standards in Planning, Design, and Construction of Jail Facilities.
