To the editor:

Had Stewart Willis known the facts about how Claybert Smoot and I solved our differences he would not have needed to develop his fictious theory.

We simply agreed to let bygones be by-gones. No reasons, excuses or explanations. I had nothing to do with, nor do I know who talked to Claybert about the boundary line or Stewart Willis’ house.

Everybody knows I supported the county/town boundary line agreement, but my role was not as large as Stewart Willis stated. The Board of Supervisors and Town Council agreed on the location of the county/town boundary line.
