The families of the late Aubrey and Ellen Baker Jenkins will hold their annual reunion on Sunday, June 17 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Setti's paintings shown

A one-woman exhibition of realistic landscape oil paintings by native Virginia artist Drema A. Setti is hanging in the Middle St. Gallery this month. Ms. Setti has visited several of the state’s rural, mountainous areas and produced paintings with a strong emphasis on color and spatial arrangement. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. For information, call 675-3440.

Farm Show fundraiser

An Old-Fashioned Fair will be held June 16 and 17 to benefit the Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show which is scheduled for July 27-31. The Fun Day which will be held at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on U.S. 29 South, is co-sponsored by the Culpeper Jaycees and will benefit both organizations. 4-H Clubs in all three counties as well as the Jaycees will provide low-cost family fun including truck and car show, pig chase, egg relay, hay rides, pony rides, crafters, dunking booth and more. Admission is $1 per person, children under six are free.

Ole Hollow reunion planned

Families, friends and community members are invited to attend the annual Ole Hollow reunion on Sunday, June 24 at noon at Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a beverage. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. For more information contact Ruby Dwyer at 987-8336.

Woman's Club to meet

The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. at the home of Barbara Burke near Sperryville. All members are urged to attend.

Benefit softball tournament

The mothers of the Rappahannock Athletic Association will sponsor a softball tournament on Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Stuart Field in Amissville. Admission will be 25 cents, and concession will be available. All proceeds will benefit the Rappahannock Athletic Association’s Little League program. Carnival at Amissville

The Amissville fireman’s carnival will be held June 27-30 at the carnival grounds. Wednesday will be family night and you can ride all evening for one low price of $5. Thursday will be the parade beginning at 7 p.m. Crowning of the carnival queen will be held at 11 p.m. on Friday night and the drawing for the grand prize of $1,000 will be held on Saturday. There will be a ride special Thursday-Saturday for $6 each evening. “Come, bring the entire family and enjoy the rides, games, shows, etc.,” said an organizer. Rides will be provided by West Virginia Amusement Company.

Hatha yoga classes

Hatha yoga classes are being taught by Peruvian Yoga, Vyasa at the Child Care and Learning Center on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. All are welcome. For more information call 675-3906, evenings.

Father's Day breakfast

The second annual Father’s Day breakfast sponsored by the Flint Hill Fire Department will be held Sunday, June 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Plan now to take the family out to a great breakfast/brunch,” said an organizer.

Middle St. Gallery class

A Life Drawing class meets at the Gallery each Thursday from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. A model is provided, each person should bring their own supplies. The fee is $10 per class. For information, call Dianne (675-3649).
