We’re glad to report Marie Fewell has returned home from the hospital.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our dear friend Carl Yates who is facing surgery for an aneurysm.
David Walker is scheduled for back surgery on Thursday. Charles Burrough will undergo surgery on Friday, both at Fauquier.
Charlotte and Wes Mills are grateful to his grandmother Mrs. Edna Mills of Marshall, who stayed with them for a few days during their daughter Eva’s recent illness. Eva had a severe viral infection with a temperature exceeding 105 degrees, necessitating one trip to the emergency room.
Cathy and Carrington Smith, along with Lisa and Curtis Stuart spent the weekend in Reedville, on the Chesapeake Bay.
Mrs. Elva Compton and Mrs. Anna Fincham attended Mrs. Fincham’s niece, Hope Racer’s graduation exercises ats Rappahannock County High School on Saturday.
Christine and Lewis Judd were delighted to have daughter Pam Clark, along with her children Robin and Torrey visit on Monday from Richmond.
At the McGlothlin reunion held at Rappahannock Park on May 26, the following prizes were awarded:
Person having the most children present: Rev. C.M. McGlothlin of Centreville with eight.
Oldest person was Jesse Yates, Culpeper at age 86. (He celebrates his 87th on June 21.)
Youngest was Anna Owens, Sperryville, age 1 year.
Couple married the longest went to Rev. and Mrs. Robert McGlothlin, Nokesville with 57 years of marriage.
Greatest distance traveled went to John Childress. Formerly of Arizona he now resides in Alexandria.
Following lunch Rev. Linda Kennedy McGlothlin sang a solo and then sang with her husband, Rev. C.M. McGlothlin. They were accompanied on the accordion by Sue Dean.
Eighty-four year old Rev. Robert McGlothlin shared some memorable thoughts with the group.
It was good to see so many relatives, including cousin Edith Wright who has returned to the area where she is the principal at Pierce Elementary School in Remington. It was fascinating to learn that cousin Madilee Childress Wnek has a successful career as a writer and producer.
