Comprehensive Addictions Programs, Inc. (CAPS) announced the temporary suspension of residential chemical addiction treatment activities at Primavera Treatment Center.
Effective June S, a six to eight month break in residential treatment will be necessary to accomplish a major building and renovation project planned to begin immediately.
“We have a strong commitment to Pnmavera, to the community around it, to our patients and staff. We have an obligation to provide the finest chemical addiction treatment possible. One of the major contributors to quality treatment is a well designed physical plant. In response to recommendations from State of Virginia Officials, local referral sources, community leaders and our alumni, we have commited major CAPS resources to upgrading the physical plant,” said Wes Marshall, Chief Operating Officer for CAPS.
“Given the design of the build ings and the changes planned at Pr. mavera, u became obvious that the quality of patient care could possibly suffer in the midst of major remodeling. The difficult decision to have a temporary break in the residential treatment program continuity was not made easily; but patient care concerns and the great respect we have for our staff would not allow us to place either at risk during the planned construction.” said Linda Moffatt, Executive Director of Primavera Treatment Center.
