William A. Gentry
William Almond “Willie” Gentry, 78, of Flint Hill, died June 9 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
The funeral was held June 12 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Merlin Shorb and the Rev. Clyde Woodard officiating. Burial was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Gentry was born Feb. 25, 1912, in Flint Hill, the son of the late Wiley Clark and Lula Edna Coppage Gentry. He was retired from Gentry Wood Products in Marlinton, W.Va. He was a Navy veteran and attended the Maranatha Baptist Church in Amissville.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara S. Gentry; one son, Wiley Allen Gentry of Manassas; two daughters, Bonnie R. Dodson of Staunton and Lelia T. Scott of Ames, Iowa; one sister, Lula E. Clemens of Grafton; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Payne, Steve Payne, Jerry Payne, Dwayne Jones, David Dwyer and Dale Welch.

McKitterick
Nathaniel Massie McKitterick, an advisor to numerous government officials, federal agencies and commissions died suddenly at his country home in Woodville on Friday, June 8. He was 64 years old.
A 1946 graduate of Yale University, Mr. McKitterick was a foriegn editor and diplomatic correspondent for Business Week Magazine based in London from 1950 through 1954.
