Census count continues
The final phase of the Census Bureau's 1990 effort, "Were you counted?/' is underway. Residents who were not reached by either the mass mailing in April or the door-to-door canvassing which has been underway since are asked to call the Census Bureau's toll-free number, (800) 999-1990 to complete a Census questionaire for their household. The number is in operation seven days a week,, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. According to the Census Bureau, a similar campaign in 1980 , resulted in thousands of additional responses. All replies will be checked against Census forms to prevent duplication.
