To the editor:
This is a parent’s point of view on loitering in the Town of Washington. I agree, but it is only one of the many problems in town.
Another problem is residents who walk their dogs around the streets to go to the bathroom on side walks, grassy areas where children play — everywhere except on their property. You have to be very careful where you walk or step.
A bigger problem is the parking in town, especially by the employees of the Inn. We reside in Harris Hollow and getting from the Health Department to the Post Office or Middle Street is almost impossible at times. It’s usually one lane of traffic only. Some of their delivery vehicles stop in the middle of the street and put their emergency flashers on to make a delivery.
Our son was one of the 11 who received the trespass notice from Trinity Church and Eileen Day. He was not one who made lewd remarks to residents.
